Get excited, what we've been waiting for all year, the sephora spring savings event starts next Friday! Here are all the essential products worth getting including what's new at Sephora and what's on my shopping list! I use this sale to pick up the most expensive things on my wishlist. I have a very curated loves list on Sephora and tis the season for me to clear it out. I've visited sephora to test these products out to find the right shades for me to prepare for the sale.  This is my superbowl! 

The Sephora Fall Savings Event starts today! It’s that time of the year again where depending on your tier for their rewards program, you can score up to 20% off. I’ve included the dates for each tier below so you know when it’s your time to shop!  I wanted to show you what's in my makeup bag and what my makeup favorites of this year so far are. I'm really happy with everything I have that I can create the looks I like with it.

I only shop at Sephora during their sales and I save my purchases for the big sales each year because the prices of makeup is just wild to me. I think I've got their sale schedule down now: the first two weeks of January they have daily 50% brand deals, there's a Spring and Fall Savings Event for 20% off for rouge, then there's a summer Friends and Family savings event where you have to get a code from an employee for 20% off. Then in between that twice a year they have started copying Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty Sale in March and August where they have 50% off daily deals. July 29th is National Lipstick day and many brands are 50% off. In early October is the Hair  50% daily deals. And then the week of Thanksgiving there pick 2 brands a day to be 30% off. For Black Friday a few select products are 50% off. They matched Ulta putting mascara on 50% off. The second week of December everyone gets one order that is 20% off. The week before Christmas all fragrances are 20% off. Finally, if you're lucky,  they put a few  $100 rouge rewards in the Rewards Bazaar when you check out for 2500 points on Tuesdays. I was able to snag an elusive one this year! They post them once a month at 9am. When there's no sale, my cart sits for months. I buy nothing at full price. 

Sephora has had a lot of sales this year! In July was National Lipstick day where most lip products were 50% off! In August they had a surprise 20% coupon you could only get from employees. Then in September they had one day 50% off deals for select products. And next in October they had one day 50% off deals for hair products. End of October brings us to their annual Holiday 2023 Savings Event. After this, they will have a Black Friday sale as well. Here's what's in my cart or what I already own that I recommend you buy. 

The Sephora Savings Event starts this weekend! This is my beauty shopping superbowl! I have not bought anything from Sephora this year in anticipation of this sale, do you know how hard that is? I've just been tweaking my cart for months. I'm so excited that the day is finally coming upon us! Here are some of the products I have in my cart that I have tested a few times in the store and done tons of research on. I'm in full fall mode over here after decorating my home with fall decor and now pulling out my favorite fall makeup. Fall is so pretty with the colorful leaves, pumpkins and caramel apple cider; and those colors also inspire my makeup. For lipstick I love going for rusty reds before transitioning into the bright reds for winter. In the fall and winter I get excited about makeup as I get to wear it a little bit more. Sweater weather leads to more intense makeup and my makeup looks better since I'm not sweating it off. This list is what I will be wearing the most this season so I hope you enjoy this edit. I only shop at Sephora when they have sales so I'm always tweaking my cart for months on end until the sale hits. Fragrances are pricey, but make a great Christmas gift so I highly recommend making your purchase during Sephora's sale and take advantage of the extra savings. Now would be the prefect time to pick up a Kilian fragrance while it's on sale.  I like Love Don't Be Shy (Rhianna's signature perfume) and Angel's Share which is unisex. Sephora Spring Savings Event starts Friday for Rouge members and April 13th for VIB members.  I absolutely love fragrances and my love for fragrances is growing more and more each day. I'm a fan of switching up your fragrance wardrobe depending on the season. I really enjoy wearing fresh florals during the springtime. Come summer, I wear scents that are lighter and fresher to feel clean on a really hot day. Also keep in mind that a lot of scents will burn off fast because your body heat is making them burn so quickly. 

My fragrance wishlist is never going to end. Once you're in this fragrance game, you're in it for life as you're never really done. There's no exit plan or strategy to get out of this! And it's an expensive hobby.  I'm definitely a fan of buying the smallest size a perfume comes in as I feel I will never get through a whole perfume bottle and it's good to sample before committing to a full size bottle. Above is pictured some of my larger samples. I think people who smell good are automatically more attractive. Sephora announced their fall sale dates for VIB members which will be 15% off November 3rd thru November 9th.

I use what beauty products I have until it's gone. I really use what I have. You shouldn't have so much stuff that you can't use it. With the skincare products that you buy, the ingredients are more potent soon after purchase. Sunday Riley said their products are good for 3 years if unopened, but once opened they are only good for one year.  I toss out my sunscreens after a year. Sunscreen potency shelf life is 2 to 3 years (unopened) or 6 months to 1 year (opened).  Vitamin C products have a short shelf life.  If you buy something and don't use it, the product is not going to work like it would have a year ago. Skincare products in jar packaging won't keep well once exposed to air as it affects the stability of the plant extracts it contains. Don't buy expensive stuff if you're not going to use it. If you spent your money on it use it.  Good skincare is key to a nice foundation for your makeup, so dedication to your skincare routine is always a good idea.
