The first two weeks of April Sephora is having their annual sale! I always save up my cart for this sale. I have type 3C hair texture which has thick strands with a tight curl pattern. My hair has a lot of volume but also gets very dry easily and has low porosity. I don't have a relaxer in my hair but I do color it. My hair needs a lot of moisture and some protein. These are all the products I have in my arsenal that I recommend you purchase during the sale.
Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil
Has a mixture of Argan and Jasmine Oils and Sandalwood Extract, Amur Cork Tree Bark Extract, and Barley Extract. This is the best thing for dry, brittle hair. It will leave your hair soft and shiny.
I used to not want to spend money on shampoo, buying the cheapest one because I figured it's just washed out fast. Argan Oil keeps hair from tangling. It's really good for dry and colored hair. It smells incredible!
Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask
An argan-oil-rich mask formulated for medium to thick dry hair that improves hydration, texture, elasticity, shine, and manageability. Glycerin: Natural humectant that provides hair-moisturizing benefits. The mask works like a charm and leaves hair soft and hydrated.
K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Mini Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask
A leave-in treatment protein mask that repairs damage from color and heat. It's an alternative to Olaplex. By the way, you don't need to buy the whole line of Olaplex products. Only Olaplex #3 has the most concentrated amount of the key ingredient, the other products in their line do not. Look at the ingredient list and see how far down the list it is.
Amika The Kure Bond Repair Shampoo for Damaged Hair
A bond repair shampoo that repairs and strengthens damaged strands caused by everyday stressors, heat, and chemical treatments. It has Bond Cure Technology: An innovative complex that targets the most-abundant bonds in hair. Also includes Sea Buckthorn Berry which is rich in fatty-acid omega 7, making it the holy grail for all things hair.
SUNDAY II SUNDAY ROOT REFRESH Micellar Rinse with Apple Cider Vinegar
I exercise 6x a week and thus my hair gets sweaty. Black people typically don't use dry shampoo, but this product is made as an alternative type product for Black people. They don't label it just for Black hair, but if you look at the negative reviews it's by people who have a straighter hair texture.
Kérastase Mini Discipline Heat Protecting Leave-In Treatment For Frizzy Hair
A smoothing leave-in cream that protects hair from heat damage and protects against breakage to smooth hair and reduce frizz.
Playa Monoi Milk Leave-in Conditioner
A light yet deep conditioning treatment that can be used on wet or dry hair to tame frizz, repair damage, detangle, and promote strength, shine, and softness. The ingredients include Tahitian Monoi Oil, Coconut Milk, Manuka Honey, Glycerin, Olive Oil, Biotin, and a Gardenia fragrance. I love this stuff! After using this my hair has shine, looks healthy and the frizz is tamed.
Mizani 25 Miracle Milk Leave-In Conditioner
A lightweight leave-in conditioner with heat protection that detangles, repairs damage, treats dryness, and controls frizz.
I have a similar one and use it every time I wash my hair.
The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density
I have not tried this product, but everyone on youtube is raving about it. It's a concentrated serum that helps hair look thicker, denser, fuller, and healthier.
Perfume
This isn't hair related, but Kilian now makes their perfume in travel size which is more affordable. One of my favorite perfumes, that Rihanna wears, is Love, Don't Be Shy. It smells like orange blossom, roses and marshmallows and has 975 reviews. My second favorite from the brand is Angels Share which is a unisex scent that smells like cognac and apples.
My favorite spring/summer scent is AERIN Mediterranean Honeysuckle and they released a flanker that I'm curious to try AERIN Mediterranean Honeysuckle Mimosa.
All four scents are only on the shelf in a few Sephora stores around the country so don't count on testing in person. You can read more about all of these scents in this post.
