Here are 25 powerful steps to help you glow up in 2025 and become the best version of yourself. This is your path to manifesting everything you desire in life. Commit to the plan—don’t wait for the perfect mood. Waiting to feel "ready" or "motivated" only leads to inconsistency and missed goals. Instead, take action, even when you don’t feel like it. Procrastination will keep you stuck in the same cycle of unfulfilled goals year after year. Stop waiting for the right moment. Your progress starts now, even if it’s not perfect. Focus on starting, not timing. Embrace challenges—they are the stepping stones to growth.
Your habits shape who you are, and small actions compound to create the person you become. Plan your days, structure your weeks, and make every moment count. Health is wealth—your body is your most valuable asset, so take care of it. Your style, hair, and makeup are extensions of your self-expression—experimenting with your appearance can be a powerful motivator. Personally, I love the fresh start that comes with the new year—it's a chance to reset, recharge, and refocus. Set new goals, rebuild better habits, and create a solid foundation for the year ahead.
My word of the year for 2025 is Expansive! This reflects personal growth, stepping into my full potential, and creating space for new possibilities - whether its flourishing in my health, saving for my dreams or expanding my mind through reading and self-care. I wanted a word that gave off a bold, forward-moving energy.
Below is your tangible blueprint for glowing up in 2025—let's make it your best year yet!
2. Listen to Podcasts- during your daily walks or when you cook, I learn so much from listening to them!
3. Transform Your Hair - it's the most important part of any outfit. It's something that you wear every single day around your face. It just makes the biggest impact when someone looks at you. Having silky, shiny soft hair is the epitome of a luxurious hair style. My routine on wash day consists of bond repair, moisturizing shampoo, hair mask, Leave-In Conditioner, and hair oil. Every night I moisturize and seal my ends with an hair serum and hair oil. I say hair over makeup always. It doesn't matter if you have a full beat on your face, if your hair looks flat and boring it takes away from your look. Everyone is doing heat less curlers at night these days. I always get the Cosmo-Tai when I go to Drybar, then wear soft curlers in my hair for the next 3 nights and it keeps my style and curls without any styling products.
5. Set a Bedtime crucial for maintaining a healthy sleep schedule.
6. Magnesium before bed Benefits of Magnesium
7. Daily Physical Activity - exercise and movement is good for our cardiovascular health and helps create toned lean muscle, it helps support our bones and strengths our joints, boost circulation and gives your skin that natural glow, improves your posture, boost your energy levels, boost your mood and happiness, and help you sleep better at night. Daily walks - doesn't have to be 10K, the new research says 7500 steps per day. I bought this planner to track my workouts, I've used the same planner for 5 years.
9. Use a tongue cleaner and floss - Scraping your tongue can help remove that white coating, helps to eliminate bad breath and removes bacteria which is key to preventing cavities, gum disease, and other conditions affecting the mouth. Flossing daily disrupts the formation of dental plaque before it calcifies to form calculus. My dentist always remarks that she can tell I floss daily at home when she cleans my teeth. I never miss a 6 month cleaning! Can't remember the last cavity I've had.
10. Bring your skincare down to your neck and hands - what you put on your face can also be put on your neck and back of hands. So instead of washing of the access, swipe it on more skin. Come up with a morning and evening skincare routine. Right now exosomes and PDRN are trending.
11. Red Light Mask - Promotes healthier, younger-looking skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles and reduces the appearance of pigmentation and redness. I have this one and this one.
12. Declutter - Clear out old hair products, reorganize your fridge, and pantry. I put star stickers on the bottom of my spices at the start of the year then check at the end of the year, anything that still has a sticker is thrown out so I can replace with a fresher spice jar. Clear out your bathroom cabinets, and outdated makeup; donate clothes you no longer wear. I donate old towels and sheets to my local animal shelter each year. You'll feel lighter and more focused—creating space for the woman you aspire to be in 2025. I firmly believe that a cluttered home equals a cluttered mind. You don't want your home to not be pleasant to be in because you're not taking care of your home because you have too much stuff (chaos and clutter).
14. Nails - keep your nails clean, remove your pedicure once it starts to look raggedy. Nothing worse than a chipped pedicure. If your polish is grown out or chipping these are things that instantly make you look less attractive. One of the first thing I notice about someone is whether or not their nails are well kept. Everyone sees your hands when you talk and wave them about. These were my Christmas press-on nails. I've done a few posts on press-on nails as I've been wearing them exclusively for a year now. Why travel to the nail salon and pay $100 when you can spend $12 and do your nails at home and it lasts 2 weeks.
17. Cut back on Alcohol - I only drink on the weekends and aim to have 20 sober days a month. I do Dry January every year, this is my 10th year!
18. Read instead of scrolling - I read 32 books last year! You can set a goal to read one book a month, pretty doable!
19. Doctors Appointments - schedule that mammogram, colonoscopy, vaccines, get your teeth cleaned twice a year, see the chiropractor and physical therapist when you have pain.
20. Finding your Signature Makeup Look - that you feel your most confident in. I've done a few posts recently on the makeup I like to wear: one, two, three, four, five.
22. Quality over Quantity in clothes - create outfits from pinterest with clothes you already have and don't shop for your fantasy self. Don't buy a bunch of cheap purses, save up for one nice purse that will last a long time. No more mindless purchases! Take your time with purchases. Check out my 30 Wears Challenge.
23. Tailor your clothes - wear well fitted clothes as someone that looks more put together looks more attractive. How we present ourselves on the outside reflect what's on the inside. Three Fashion Rules Everyone Should Follow
24. Set Style goals for the year : My 2016 Style Resolutions, here are some examples for you:
Create your color palette;
Understanding your body shape and silhouette preferences;
Curate your shoe collection;
Focus on building your basics
25. Vision Board - serves as a constant reminder of what you want and what really matters to you. When you want to level up, it requires focus, that's what the vision board does. You need to get clear on what you want and get thoughtful about it. Put it somewhere where you can see it everyday. That way you can look at it and motivate you every single day. Creating a vision board really helps to keep you inspired and can be really powerful at setting that daily reminder about what you are working towards. Slowly think about your goals, take the whole month of January to do so if you need to. It's helpful for accountability and it is also so rewarding when we need reminders of what we've accomplished. I like to set goals that feel a bit aspirational and yet still feel achievable and priorities that serve as reminders to me throughout the year when I revisit this list for a gut check on how I'm progressing.
If you're creating a vision board, you don't have to collect magazines, you can just buy a vision board book. You get different themes, pictures and words, things to inspire you for the next year. You cut out the pictures and put on your own poster board.
This year I'm going to create one digitally on Canva with pictures I find online. Then on Canva create either a poster board $16 or small canvas $68 and have it printed through canva. You can find stock photos on pexels.com or unsplash.com and they will be high quality for printing resolution but pinterest photos will be more aesthetic. I picked the size poster landscape 20x16 then searched for a vision board layout. Canva will tell you if there are low resolution images when it comes time to print. Or you can make a mini version for your phone wallpaper again through canva and download it to your computer.
