My Favorite Purchases of 2025 so far

I usually post this at the end of the year but I have so much stuff on here I thought I would post this now.  I link to prior year's posts at the bottom of this post! I'm sharing with you some of my favorite purchases of the year. Right now I'm obsessed with the documentary Amy Bradley is Missing on Netflix! If you're looking for a good binge, check it out!

Saatva Latex Pillow A plush latex hotel quality pillow available in two different loft fill heights (high for side sleepers who want a more plush pillow and lower height for back and stomach sleepers). It features a core of shredded natural latex. This material is naturally hypoallergenic that helps inhibit the growth of dust mites and other contaminants, making them a great choice if you suffer from indoor allergies.  Surrounding the latex core is a plush layer of down-alternative microfibers so it mimics the  softness of a goose down pillow. It comes with a removable organic cotton cover that is machine washable.  Natural latex is superbly breathable to keep you cooler and more comfortable through the night. It maintains its shape and they last three years. It comes with a 45 night sleep trial. $165

Tempurpedic Cloud Dual Cooling Pillow

They added cooling gel to both sides of the pillow that help absorb excess heat. This pillow is medium firm and heavy at 5 lbs but stays cool to the touch all night long. The inside is memory foam. The pillow is not returnable. $200 but they often have buy 1 get 1 free deals.

Boll and Branch Signature Hemmed Sheet Set in plum
These are great summer sheets as the organic cotton doesn't trap heat. They have a nice softness to them, yet still cool and crisp. They feel cool on bare skin in summer heat.

Portable Air Conditioner
This does not cool an entire room, it's a mini a/c. But for $40 it's light weight, low noise, and battery operated. You pour cold water and ice into it and it blows cold air for 10 hours! It's only takes 3 hours to charge plugged into the wall. It has 8 rainbow lights at night. Using a remote you can set 3 wind speeds, use the timer,  water mists, and a colorful night light setting.

I still use damprid to get rid of that musty smell in closets.

Food

Kosterina Olive Oil

I've bought this twice now. It's extra virgin olive oil cold pressed in small batches from early harvest Koroneiki olives grown in southern Greece. Polyphenol content measuring over 55mg/kg is typical for an average extra virgin olive oil but Kosterina's Original EVOO clocks in at over 500mg/kg! Ever since I watched the Blue Zones documentary I have been paying more attention to buying better olive oil.

Liber Syrups

Make amazing cocktails! Made from high quality ingredients and all natural ingredients! I like passionfruit and blackberry for mules with ginger beer (with or without gin).

St Agrestis

At $7 a bottle, this is the best non-alcoholic negroni I've tasted! To be honest it tastes the same as an aperol spritz, I don't know the difference?  They don't add any chemical flavors or artificial colors so I don't know how it gets its bright orange color? They also have a clear version and I've tried both. The only thing I don't like is that they claim one bottle is two servings to make it look lower in calories, but once you pout it into a small wine glass you see the whole bottle is only one serving. So one bottle is 88 calories and 22g of sugar. One bottle is 200 ml or 6.8 oz which is .85 a cup. I keep mine in the fridge so I don't need to use ice.

Daily Harvest

I haven't done this since 2020 and I wrote a review here. I stopped because I figured I could make smoothies myself, but honestly I'm lazy and these are at least calorie controlled because there's no portion size control when I make them. I decided to get these monthly boxes for the summer because my favorite smoothie is the Mango Greens! At $8 a smoothie its cheaper than me stopping at South Block for the exact same thing.  But you have to make sure you have space in your freezer for all of them.

I know I have a whole oatmeal recipe series on my blog; but this summer I was too lazy to make overnight oats and this brand has so many flavors! Each packet has 20g of protein, chia seeds, flax seeds, and sweetened with dates and monk fruit. It gets mixed reviews, I didn't like all the flavors so I made a point to order them all over two boxes to try them all to figure out which ones I liked to narrow it down. But it makes breakfast so easy everyday and I put it in a bowl instead of a shaker cup to drink like they recommend.

Vegan dark chocolate and creamy organic peanut butter with 36% less sugar than Reeses and none of the fillers. Doesn't taste chemical and doesn't melt in my kitchen in the summer. 5g of sugar

Beauty

Rejuran PDRN - PDRN is the newest rage in skincare and it comes from salmon sperm. I've been using this, plus peptides, growth factors and a red light mask daily and in one year my crows feet were 50% decreased. I was shocked! I made an observation one year at a Real Housewives reunion is that they botox the heck out of their forehead and get a facelift to pull their neck and jawline but their undereyes always show their age. So I've really been focusing targeting my skincare to my undereyes, not that I need it now, but I want to be preventative.

RMS SuperNatural Radiance SPF 30 Sunscreen

A tinted sunscreen that comes in three shades that has you  looking illumination with SPF 30 broad spectrum protection.

LYS Lip-Plumping Glossy Lip Balm Truthful - nude

My favorite lipgloss right now!

MARIO - Ultra Suede Lipstick Kate - muted rose nude

My matte lipstick color! Inspired by Khloe Kardashian.

MARIO - MoistureGlow Plumping Lip Serum in Rosewood Glow - true mauve

Peter Thomas Roth - Peptide Skinjection Fill + Fix Under Eye Cream

Kosas - Revealer Extra Bright Serum-Powered Color Correctors in Illusion - Pink Peach for light to medium skin tones

Apparel

I was so inspired by the dusty rose in Chloe's fashion show that I bought everything I saw in that color as I didn't realize how good that color looked on me! I fell in love with this shade that can be called: dusty red, rose powder, dusty cedar, grapefruit, burnt mauve. Here's everything I bought this year, unfortunately no longer available in stores.

Beyond Yoga Featherweight Rebalance Tank

This is my favorite workout top! It's long, high neck, full back coverage tank top. I have it in 6 colors! It is made from 94% Polyester, 6% Spandex and is a super soft fabric with a relaxed fit so it's great to hide the tummy. These tanks can go in the dryer when so many of my activewear can not.  It's always free shipping and returns! First time customers get a discount. This Aubergine-Beet color was my favorite! All the colors do have a heathered finish to it.

Lululemon has been dropping purple collections every month this year! My wallet has not been happy! lol

Sorel Kinetic Impact Y-Strap High Sandal

I walk everywhere but in the summertime it's just too hot to wear sneakers so I wanted a hybrid sneaker sandal. I can walk an hour in these shoes! It feels like I'm walking on clouds!

Accessories

Aetrex Compete Orthotics

Aetrex Premium Memory Foam Orthotics

I put these inside my non-athletic sneakers so I can walk long distances in them. They are a game changer and worth the money!

Mammoth Grip

I throw all my plastic grocery bags on these and it makes it more comfortable for my hands to carry them and allows me to carry more bags at one time.

Security

Back in the day I could go out all day and not need to charge my phone but now, not the case. I have a larger one but it was too bulky to carry that I only took it on vacation, but  I need a daily one for at home. This slim one fits in my wallet.

When I went to Vegas  I had heard that it was very common for people to skim your card while it was still in your card! This card in your wallet creates a jamming chip so people can't read your card and prevents identity theft.

With a slim, durable and waterproof design, the Let it Ride Tracker Card is the size of about 1 credit card. It works with the Apple Find My App to find lost wallets.

I've had an airtag in my luggage for a few years now but I added an additional one to my keychain after leaving my keys in my door one day and being gone all day and not knowing where my keys were at my final stop on my way home and panicking. It's great because you get a notification on your phone of the address of where you left your airtag as soon as you separate from it! If you want to keep one in your car, just take the speaker out of it because that's the first thing thieves do is look for it.

Flolab privacy screen

Rated the best iPhone privacy screen protector on the market. People who sit next to me always think I'm looking at a dark screen.
