5 Best T-Shirts for Women

Tees are a wardrobe staple that in theory should be the easiest fashion item to buy. Yet, it can be difficult to find that one tee that is flattering on you that you want to buy in every color. I wanted to share some of my favorite tees I've been wearing this year as I work from home. Then I also wanted share some more tailored stylish tees that look effortless. If you're looking to refresh your tee wardrobe this summer, I got you covered. Below are my perfect tees that look stylish and are organized by style.

Harvest Bronze clothes at Old Navy

I was trying to think of a word to describe this shade of orange then remembered that my living room is painted Benjamin Moore -Harvest Bronze and it's the same shade of orange. It's always been a favorite color of mine to wear yet a hard color to find. This season Old Navy has 30 pieces of clothing in this shade! Ranging from pants, to sweaters, blouses, tanks, shorts and dresses. Will you be rocking this color? I think it's a stunning color because you rarely see it on people so the color pops as it's unexpected.

How to Wear Distressed Jeans

Nothing is more essential in your wardrobe than a good pair of jeans. I haven't worn distressed (formally called ripped jeans lol) since high school. Since then I bought my first pair a couple years ago and they are still my favorite! Old Navy jeans are super comfortable come in a number of different washes, here's my post on their grey ones. They come in mint color, so be sure to check out my post on how to Style Mint Pants. They claim their jeans are "New Stay-White denim technology repels stains & spills so your jeans stay white, no matter how messy the day gets."

I am always on the hunt for cool new ways to wear denim and wanted to share a couple looks of how you can wear them dressed up with heels or dressed down with (rose gold) sneakers. Below are links to similar shirts that will give you that effortless, but put together look. All the jewelry are from Kendra Scott, my favorite jewelry designer. On my nails I'm wearing the new Zoya nude color April. Check out my post on my favorite summer nail polish colors and on how to stop your sunglasses from falling off your face.

Are you wearing white jeans this summer?

How to Style Coral Shorts

I really wanted a pair of linen shorts and the ones at the LOFT came in this pretty cinnamon color. But once I got them home I didn't know what to wear them with so I looked on pinterest and got a lot of inspirational ideas.  To my surprise I found that a dark blue looks really nice with it. Also a lace white tank makes for an interesting outfit. Or a flowy black tank. So you don't have to stick with a boring white or black t-shirt to wear with these shorts. I created some outfits out of my closet using the stylebook app, but I linked below some items still in the stores that you can get.

Old Navy Summer

Old Navy has some cute clothes out for summer! They have your classic hat styles covered - the Panama hat and the Floppy Straw Hat which comes in two colors. And the best part is that they come in two sizes because one size does not fit all heads! They have a cute Jersey Tube Jumpsuit, Cami Romper and pull on Linen Shorts which all are must haves! There's lots of bright colored dresses to chose from. For your Fourth of July there's the classic flag tank. Check out their swim cover-ups as well. All at affordable prices!

Grey Jeans Two Ways

I bought my first pair of grey jeans because of the Fall Fashion Challenge, check out yesterday's look. I've never owned grey jeans before and it was a challenge to find just the right shade of grey. Some jeans looked like faded black, or 80s acid wash jeans, these jeans that I bought were the perfect light grey color. I've found that grey jeans coordinate really well with burgundy, mustard yellow, cobalt blue, pink or purple.

I've never been a fan of plaid but that was another thing on the challenge shopping list. This shirt is  a bit oversized, but it doesn't give that lumberjack look. I absolutely love this color palette, it's a feminine way to wear plaid and I think the shoes and accessories pull the look together. If you saw the movie The Good Lie Reese Witherspoon is wearing a plaid shirt in every scene.

Allure magazine's November edition has a whole page dedicated to "How to wear plaid" with an interview with Tommy Hilfiger. He said that "while plaid cycles in and out it never totally disappears because it is an incredibly chic look when you wear it the right way." He recommends getting your plaid in a silk fabric because  "it's lightweight and feminine and offsets any unwanted lumberjack associations." He likes "crisp bright colors for plaid and says to stay away from dusty, muted shades like beige, olive green and brown because they look muddy." The accent color on the plaid must be white.  He says it looks perfect in a ski town but don't mix it with turquoise jewelry.

Spring Essentials

Now that spring is officially here I've been enjoying all the lovely flowers blooming! Trader Joe's keeps my home full of tulips and daffodils. I'm planning all my fun spring weather outings including picnics and bike rides. I was in walmart a couple weeks ago and was surprised to see they sold a ton of adult bikes in pretty colors for affordable prices! I ordered these dresses from Old Navy along with this dress I showed you last month. Old Navy was having a sale on dresses, with free shipping, my order for 4 dresses came out to be about $60, score! Then I went to the LOFT and bought one dress for more than that! lol Do you have your Easter dress ready?

I used this weekend to spring clean my wardrobe. Since my closet is already full, I figured I should try to purge some things to make room for my new warm weather dresses. I asked myself have I worn this clothing item in the past year? If no, then it goes.

Window Shopping

Every now and then I'll find a nice clothing piece from Old Navy. Right now I'm eyeing their Oxford Shirtdress which you can either dress up or dress down with their cute boat shoes which have an anchor printed on it. I bought my first pair of boat shoes last year, a navy glitter pair by Sperry Top Sider. It caused quite the stir at Thanksgiving when someone remarked that they used to be in style 20 years ago and was surprised the brand was branching out to such unique styles. Luckily if you don't want to pay their prices you can get them at Old Navy for just $25! But check out the nautical earrings from Sperry Top Sider, super cute!

Right out of college I was a huge Kate Spade fan, she always has fun colors, so I had to include a bag from her current collection here. Bevin is my favorite green nail polish from Zoya! I have the bee necklace from one of my favorite stores, it was so unique I just had to have it!

If you watched the Oscars then you remember Ellen delivering pizza to the audience then asking for tip money. Well Oscar Winner Lupita Nyong (12 Years a Slave) only had a lipgloss (matched her blue dress) in her purse to give . Well what do you know, that Clarins lipgloss flew off all the shelves and is sold out everywhere!

Old Navy Plum

I was looking for a sundress for my trip to Spain since it's 100 degrees there! I absolutely loved the third dress because I have the same pattern as a wall sticker in my bedroom which is also purple. I figure if I add a belt to it, it will give it more shape. It also comes in tall and plus sizes. It matches perfectly with my new sandals and my favorite color nail polish Charisma which you can get for free -see details. If you use coupon code WEDNESDAY at Old Navy you can get 25% off your order plus free shipping if the total is over $50.

If you're really adventurous you can get these Karl Lagerfeld ice cream cone inspired pumps! lol
