There are only three and a half months left until the end of 2026. We’re officially in Q4. It feels like just yesterday I was setting my yearly goals, but September is the ultimate time to reset. You don’t need to wait for January 1st to reclaim your routine, the people who get the best results weren’t the January starters; they were the ones who locked in between September and December.
This post is everything I’m doing to feel both strong and soft as we head into the months ahead. It’s about building momentum without running yourself into the ground, and making a few mindset shifts so you feel lighter rather than rushed.
Mindset Shifts: Ditching All-or-Nothing & Choosing Softness
The fastest way to quit a routine is believing you have to do it perfectly.
Proof of Identity Over Perfection: Habits and goals don’t have to be all-or-nothing, because that’s the fastest path to quitting. If I can't do my full exercise routine or my reading plan perfectly, a small version still counts. Switching to audiobooks when my reading slowed down proved I’m still a person who reads. Showing up in a tiny, easy way builds the identity belief that this is who you are so no rigid discipline required.
Reflect with Gratitude, Not an Audit: Don't pull out your yearly goals and turn Q4 into an audit of everything you didn't accomplish. Approach the rest of the year with gratitude for what is, rather than frantic panic about what isn't. Gratitude journaling keeps you anchored to what truly matters.
Strong Can Also Mean Soft: Your commitments can prioritize your nervous system, self-compassion, and rest. Allowing goals to be flexible and creating room to recharge gives you the actual energy you need to show up.
Slowness & Creating Margin: Slowness means creating enough space so you aren't living in survival mode. In survival mode, urgency runs the show, but what feels urgent is rarely what matters most. I don’t want to spend my entire fall season rushing through a life I am actively working to enjoy.
100 Days to the Holidays: As we enter the final stretch of the year, the question isn't "How much can I force myself to achieve by January?" It's "How do I continue showing up for myself while living my actual life?"
My Mindset & Physical Goals
I'm on a weight loss journey to lose 25 lbs. It was cool carrying extra weight, but this was my last year. Being overweight hides your face, your structure, and your potential and I want my collar bones back.
My goal is an athletic-looking physique: built with enough muscle to appear toned, fairly lean, and feeling genuinely strong and capable.
Fat Loss Focus: Starting with a manageable 300 calorie deficit.
Strength & Muscle: Fueling the body to maintain muscle while shedding fat. High protein breakfasts and creatine daily.
You can do this, you should do it, and you are going to feel so much better when you do.
My Fall 2026 Seasonal Curriculum
Instead of a chaotic goal list or 500 ideas saved on social media, a seasonal curriculum narrows your focus for three months. It’s focused on attention, what you want to understand, practice, consume, or experience, rather than just raw outcomes.
1. Overarching Theme: Rebuilding consistency with grace, strength, and ease.
2. Topic to Understand Deeply: Basic estate planning and personal wealth organization.
3. Consumption & Reading: Curating intentionally, swapping endless scrolling for a mystery book to get lost in, and listening to audiobooks on daily walks.
4. Skill or Hobby to Deepen: Salsa dancing. I signed up for the unlimited class package at a local salsa school and I go in three days a week and take back to back classes.
5. Domestic Upgrade: Decluttering my bedroom. Solving an everyday inconvenience to make my sanctuary feel clear and peaceful. And decorate my living room for fall early.
6. Supporting Health Practice: Pair heavy lifting with balance disc training to fire up ankle stability and deep core engagement, while supporting lymph flow with dry brushing, castor oil packs, and sweating.
7. Defining Experience: Making a physical photo album to document memories and anchor the season. My last trip was to Istanbul.
The 3-Step Foundation: Clean, Plan, Organize
1. Tidy (Fitness & Freedom): Clear out the digital clutter and wipe down the fridge. Stock it with clean, high-protein whole foods to make your calorie deficit effortless.
2. Plan: Narrow your focus to a few non-negotiable weekly tasks that keep you accountable without overwhelming your life admin.
3. Organize: Clear off desk surfaces, organize cords, declutter paper, and reset your workspace so focus becomes effortless.
Physical Wellness
Seasonal Movement Shift: Lean into basic strength training this fall to build muscle and support fat loss, transition to Yoga and Pilates in winter, and save outdoor walks for spring.
Mineral Hydration: Don't just flush plain water through your system. Add trace minerals, an electrolyte blend, or unrefined sea salt to properly hydrate your cells and reduce tissue inflammation.
Daily Creatine: A consistent habit to support muscle strength, recovery, and cognitive focus.
We have 100 days until the end of the year. It’s not about how fast you can transform, it's about continuing to show up for yourself while living your actual, wonderful life. Let's finish 2026 feeling grounded, energized, and our absolute best
