From the science-backed Intoxicated Snake Eyes Eye Serum to the NIOD Fractionated Eye-Contour Concentrate, DRMTLGY HPR Eye Cream, and Neocutis Lumière Firm Riche, each one brings something unique to your skincare routine. I rarely buy skincare from Sephora anymore as I don't want to go mainstream skincare, I rather buy skincare based on the science. Let’s dive in and see what makes them stand out.

Intoxicated Snake Eyes Eye Serum

Inspired by Temple Viper snake venom, this biomimetic peptide works to smooth expression lines around the eyes, while a plant-based retinol alternative helps with skin renewal. It’s a lightweight, peptide-heavy serum, perfect if you prefer a serum over a heavier cream. This formula is 100% cruelty-free and vegan, and its antioxidant-rich ingredients make it a great option for city days with higher pollution. For hooded or crepey lids, it helps smooth the skin and gives your eyes a lifted look. So be sure to apply this to the upper part of your eye, not just your undereye. The science behind this is amazing. The before and after pictures are incredible. It’s also available at Nordstrom so it's a legit product even though the name is funny. 

NIOD Fractionated Eye-Contour Concentrate 

Packed with dozens of peptides and antioxidants, this serum delivers a high concentration of active ingredients. Its light texture absorbs quickly and layers well under other skincare or makeup, making it a versatile, multitasking option for tackling fine lines, dark circles, and loss of firmness. Lightweight for daytime.

DRMTLGY HPR Eye Cream

A retinoid-based cream featuring Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR), combined with peptides, allantoin, and vitamin E. This formula targets wrinkles, supports cell renewal, and boosts moisture and firmness. As a more “active” anti-aging product, it can be highly effective over time, but may require careful layering, gradual introduction, and sun protection, especially for sensitive skin. Since this has retinoid in it, it should be used at nighttime, but if you do use it during the day be sure to cover with SPF.

Neocutis Lumière Firm Riche

This rich, cream-based eye treatment uses human growth factors and proprietary peptides to encourage collagen and elastin production, helping to firm and smooth the eye area. A trio of emollients locks in moisture, while caffeine helps reduce puffiness. It’s ideal for dry or mature skin, so the cream may feel heavy if you prefer lighter textures or layer multiple products. Nighttime use.

COSRX Snail Mucin Peptide Under Eye Cream 

This under-eye cream from COSRX combines 73.7% snail mucin with peptides, niacinamide, and adenosine to hydrate, brighten, and support skin renewal. It targets fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness, providing a lightweight, easily absorbed formula suitable for daily use. The cream’s texture is gentle and non-sticky, making it comfortable to wear under makeup or alone. 

Snail Mucin is collected from live snails in a way that doesn’t harm them. The manufacturers use a mesh grate in a dark, humid environment that mimics nighttime when they’re most active. As they crawl, they naturally release mucin that collects on the surface below. The mucin is then rinsed off, filtered, and purified. Snail mucin helps hydrate, repair, and smooth the skin while supporting collagen production and improving overall texture and radiance.

I like this as a lightweight day eye cream.

Peter Thomas Roth Peptide Skinjection Fill + Fix Under Eye Cream

A new product that provides a needle-free filler effect, helping to reduce the look of under-eye hollowness, darkness, and fine lines. It has a cooling metal tip to gently spread the product. I use this under concealer as a base to fill in creasing.

Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum

An affordable Korean eye cream that has retinal and Ginseng Root Extract which boosts and maintains moisture. I use this during day only if I'm working from home because it has retinal.
