My Favorite Bras

The search is over, I found the most comfortable wireless bras! Choosing the right bra is an area that a lot of women tend to go wrong. I'm a C cup and have always worn a bra 24/7. I sleep in it and don't feel it. Unlike a pair of socks which I always am distracted by the elastic cutting in tight over my ankle. For me it would feel weird to not to wear a bra at home. I read that most women are wearing the wrong size bra; and that's why they feel uncomfortable to you. You're probably still wearing the same band size you were in high school. I highly recommend getting professionally bra fitted at Nordstrom or a Soma boutique. They are specially trained to do this.

I wore wired bras until 5 years ago when I made the switch to wireless. Most of the support in a bra comes from the band, so a wireless bra may not be the right fit for women larger than a C cup.  You should be tossing out your bras every 1-2 years as the support does fade with wear. A bra needs to be washed often to clean out the sweaty band which is providing you support. Use a lingerie bag in the washing machine so their wash isn't so aggressive. Do not put them in the dryer, hang dry as it will help with the longevity of the bra.

The wrong bra affects your posture, how free you feel and confident you are. Bras stretch out as you wear them, that's why you have three rows of hooks. Most of the support comes from the band so when you're wearing the wrong size it doesn't. Then the support will be on the straps which means you will strain your shoulders and your clasp will ride up on your back. And then your straps dig into your skin from the tension and weight. Also spillage in the cups is an indication that your bra doesn't fit you correctly. Invest in good bras. Quality bras are expensive but the lifespan of the bras will be longer. I recommend having at least three bras in your rotation for top performance. I got some amazing bras for that give me lift, full support and are actually comfortable.

Soma Enbliss Wireless Bra

The bra comes in 14 colors. I find nude and white undergarments so boring and only buy my bras in light pink, purple and red. The fabric is cushiony soft and it was comfortable right out of the box.

True & Co. True Body Lift Triangle Adjustable Strap Bra

Last year during Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale I bought my first True & Co wireless bra because I heard it was the top selling item of the sale. Target also sells True & Co bras but the fabric is different, hence the difference in price. There is no clasp in the back, so these became my work from home bras. I don't wear them outside because when you walk fast there's a little bounce.

My priorities for undies are function and comfort, so no thongs. These are my favorites right now:

Vanishing Edge Microfiber With Lace Hipster

The inside have silicone edges that eliminate ride up and are invisible under clothes. The panty stays right where you want it without panty lines. Body: 83% nylon, 17% spandex and 100% cotton gusset lining.

Lace Hi Cut Brief

Stays in place thanks to elastic leg bands and lace waist. Made from silky, stretch microfiber with cotton gusset. Body: 89% Nylon, 11% Spandex.

If you're not ready to buy a new bra yet, try out these bra extenders to see if you need a larger band size. Megababe makes a Bust Dust which is a talc free powder that you can drop on your chest for the summer months.
