Summer Nail Polish

When you look down at your hands, the shade you're wearing always makes you feel happy. I've been a nail polish addict for years, I love painting my nails, I love having my nails look nice. I have seasonal rules for what colors to wear so during the summer months I like different things than what I like during the fall and winter. These are my top 5  picks for summer  that are mood-boosting colors.

One thing I notice about the woman who always looks wonderful, she always has fabulous looking nails. It's the first thing I notice about anyone. I've been embracing natural nails because during this pandemic I don't really want to go to a nail salon every few weeks. I think many people underestimate the power of nails, they make you feel better and boost your confidence. I am worthy of pretty nails.

They are the finishing touch to making me look chic and put together. I believe in investing in your appearance because when you look good, you feel good. It's improves your self-confidence.  Natural manicured nails always look chic and expensive. I follow trends to push me out of my comfort zone like this gradient color look. So I'm not always wearing the same colors and that makes me feel fresh and modern.  When I do go back to having gel nails, first thing on my list is getting lemon nail art!

Nail Color Trend  (left to right)

Zoya Abby a light lavender cream
Essie expressie quick-dry nail polish in busy beeline
Salon Perfect Va Va Vroom a vibrant neon green
Zoya Emerson  a modern baby blue cream.

In the top photo, my favorite color is Zoya Neely which is a full coverage earliest spring green in a glossy creme finish.

Purple is my favorite color so I have at least 20 different shade of purple polish!

I bought this blazer from Zara, which was hanging next to another light baby blue blazer which allowed me to see that this was more of a grey blue blazer. I wanted an exact color match for my nails.

When I went to Europe two years ago I wanted neon green nails! But I couldn't find it at the salon so I settled for half neon yellow and kelly green nails which you can see in this post. When I got back I was determined to get neon green so spent a day going from salon to salon to find neon green gel nails and finally got it! When the pandemic hit I decided I wanted to paint this color myself at home and ordered a few different shades online until I finally got the perfect one!

I first starting seeing yellow nails 5 years ago, but I finally found the right butter shade for my skin color.

I'm on the waiting list for a woman in my city who does Russian manicures so when she has an opening for a new client, this is my first design:
