A Good Mystery Author

I've recently got into reading mystery books  which are psychological thrillers that I can't put down! Right now my favorite author is NY Times best-selling author Mary Kubica who has written three books that I read through so quickly! All her books follow the same formula, each short chapter is told from a different narrator jumping from the past and present. Her next book is already finished and due out next summer. She lives outside of Chicago so she uses Chicago for the background of some of her books. My favorite of the three below is Don't You Cry which was recommended to me by a friend. I found it to be the most page-turning thriller. It was so suspenseful I read in 2 days!

Don't You Cry
Synopsis: In downtown Chicago, a young woman named Esther Vaughan disappears from her apartment without a trace. A haunting letter addressed to My Dearest is found among her possessions, leaving her friend and roommate Quinn Collins to wonder where Esther is and whether or not she's the person Quinn thought she knew.

Pretty Baby
Synopsis:  Heidi Wood has always been a charitable woman: she works for a nonprofit, takes in stray cats. Still, her husband and daughter are horrified when Heidi returns home one day with a young woman named Willow and her four-month-old baby in tow; a teenage girl she saw standing on the train platform in the pouring rain in Chicago.

The Good Girl
Synopsis:  One night, Mia Dennett enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn't show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. At first, Colin Thatcher seems like a safe one-night stand. But following Colin home will turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life as Colin decides to hide Mia in a secluded cabin in rural Minnesota instead of delivering her to his employers.
