Target Summer Collection

Target is having a Memorial Day Weekend sale with  20% off clothing, shoes &  accessories through Monday!  Use promo code MEMDAY.

I love BaubleBar's collection for Target. The cobalt Triad Ball Drop Earrings are only $13 and come in a range of colors! I have 3 pairs already and they're lightweight.  The same earrings from BaubleBar's store retail for $50!

Target has copied Jack Rogers sandals which retail for around $100. Target is selling them for only $25! The block sandals are a copy of JCrew's colorblock sandals which retail for $250! Block sandals are in style this season and are more comfortable than stilettos.

Target has some tees in cute prints from cactus to palm print to colorful pineapples. I was excited to see their pull-on crop pant in white. It seems like stores are only selling ankle pants which I'm not a fan of.

I bought the purple eyelet shift dress for $30 which is perfect for work and play. There are so many pretty and affordable dresses at Target this season.

My personal favorite dress is this off shoulder red one. Here's what the purple eyelet dress looks like:

Target Spring Styles

Wow Target is really stepping up their style imitating all the big brands and selling the latest trends. On April 9th the Victoria Beckham collection will be released at Target. The lookbook is already up on their site and she offers children's clothes, women's and plus sizes in bold colors. Course I don't expect to get any of it, I'm sure it will sell out the first hour.

One of the big trends for spring is the cold shoulder this year. Target has quite a few fashionable pieces sporting this trend. Straw beach bags are also on trend now. Target has it for just $20 compared to these expensive options: Woven Tote with Pom Charms and Woven Tote with Tassel. In my previous post I talked about espadrilles shoes and showed some pricey options, Target has a few styles at a much cheaper price point. Steve Madden's blush ECNTRCQT sneaker retails for $70 and I got the identical pink shoe from Target for $25! Aren't they cute?

The Sam Edelman Gigi sandal  retails for $60 and at Target an identical sandal is only $12! Talk about a steal! Baublebar released their own Target collection with earrings that look similar to their statement earrings that got for $40.The SUGARFIX by BaubleBar earrings cost $13. I picked up some jewelry, a couple dresses, and the pink sneakers of course!
The other thing I picked up at Target were these round European paper towels. I've noticed at work that people can't tear off a paper towel without touching one on the roll, this round stack solves that problem. I also love the Oh Joy! collection at Target for its whimsical home decor. I finally tried out the Honest Company's Organic Healing Balm Soothing & Moisturizing Ointment which has been a life saver for my dry hands.

Summer Activewear from Target

Had another great weekend, Friday I went out to dinner with my father. Saturday I did a day trip to Baltimore to walk around the harbor and see the aquarium. I haven't done that in years and really enjoyed it and got to touch a jelly fish. In the evening I hit up some rooftop bars with a friend. Sunday I spent the afternoon with my mother.

Target Finds 2016

I stopped by Target on Friday and wanted to share some of the new finds I saw there. First up office supplies in gorgeous colored hues!

I've talked about my favorite green cleaning company Mrs. Meyers before, well Target had her new scents Peony and Lilac. I bought both!

Target also had Method (also a green company) hand soaps and dish soaps in this pretty designed bottle.

As a fitness enthusiast and non-plastic bottle user, I'm always interested in alternative materials for water bottles. See my water bottle collection here.

I've been wanting to get myself a rose gold S'well water bottle but the $42 price tag has stopped me.
See the S'well bottles are made of stainless steel that keeps your drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours. Target has partnered with S'well  for a new collab called S'ip by S'well for $25.

When I took Barre classes the popular water bottle sold and used at the studio were bkr glass bottles which retail for $35, well Target has identical plastic bottles for a fraction of the price.

I love throwing parties and having pretty tableware so I was impressed Target was carrying such pretty plates!

When Target announced it was doing a collab with Marimekko, I thought for sure it would sell out like it's collab with Lilly Pulitzer, so I was shocked to see fully stocked shelves with their clothing! I still use the Marimekko towels I bought from Crate and Barrel 9 years ago.

If you want to get your hat game on for summer, Target has both Panama hats and floppy hats.

I loved this yellow plaid shirt !

Need a blouse for work, they got you covered there!

In the food section, I spotted Hint water which is fruit-infused water has zero calories, no sweeteners, and no artificial flavors. This was the first time I'd seen their sparkling water line so I picked up some to try.

I've been consuming non-dairy milk since high school. A friend of my turned me on to this cashew milk which I couldn't find in Safeway or Whole Foods so I was super excited to see it at Target!

Target also had all the new Amy's frozen meal flavors. Amy's makes vegetarian frozen meals and snacks. From their new line, I recommend the Artichoke & Parmesan Swirls, Broccoli Cheddar Frozen Soup, Chinese Noodles & Veggies in a cashew cream sauce. My all time favorite is their Country Cheddar Bowl which is priced cheaper at Target than Safeway or Whole Foods.

Target also had my favorite Barefoot Wine in every flavor and alcohol-free wine.

Target has outdone themselves!

I know everyone was disappointed they couldn't get their hands on the Lilly Pulitzer collection (which I personally wasn't a fan of) but Target has lots of great jewels in stock.  I'm really impressed by how they are copying expensive designer looks! I got the flutter top dress which is absolutely gorgeous in person! The hardest part was deciding on what color to get it in, I went with pink. The black roper has been on my wishlist since last summer. The sheer crochet pants was another must have for me! Target has some nice work dresses as well!

Christmas Sweater

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer by The Temptations on Grooveshark It's that time of year when you're either looking for a festive holiday sweater or an ugly Christmas sweater. Look no father than JC Penney, they have a ton of themed sweater including a make your own ugly Christmas sweater kit! I have Lisa to thank for showing me this hipster sweater. Here a bunch for you to decide fugly or not?

Grey Jeans Two Ways

I bought my first pair of grey jeans because of the Fall Fashion Challenge, check out yesterday's look. I've never owned grey jeans before and it was a challenge to find just the right shade of grey. Some jeans looked like faded black, or 80s acid wash jeans, these jeans that I bought were the perfect light grey color. I've found that grey jeans coordinate really well with burgundy, mustard yellow, cobalt blue, pink or purple.

I've never been a fan of plaid but that was another thing on the challenge shopping list. This shirt is  a bit oversized, but it doesn't give that lumberjack look. I absolutely love this color palette, it's a feminine way to wear plaid and I think the shoes and accessories pull the look together. If you saw the movie The Good Lie Reese Witherspoon is wearing a plaid shirt in every scene.

Allure magazine's November edition has a whole page dedicated to "How to wear plaid" with an interview with Tommy Hilfiger. He said that "while plaid cycles in and out it never totally disappears because it is an incredibly chic look when you wear it the right way." He recommends getting your plaid in a silk fabric because  "it's lightweight and feminine and offsets any unwanted lumberjack associations." He likes "crisp bright colors for plaid and says to stay away from dusty, muted shades like beige, olive green and brown because they look muddy." The accent color on the plaid must be white.  He says it looks perfect in a ski town but don't mix it with turquoise jewelry.

Leggings Love

I've really been enjoying this Fall Style Challenge and get excited every evening when my email comes in with what I'm supposed to wear the next day! One of the items on the original shopping list was leggings and the question was asked of our group of ladies what is the best brand to buy? Well almost unanimously people said HUE leggings were the best! They have an ultra-wide band which is a must have as it helps prevent any bulges on top. You can find HUE leggings at Macy’s.

Now I've never worn leggings before, I don't know it just didn't interest me and I've never worn yoga pants outside of yoga class. I decided to take the plunge and order my first pair of leggings.  Then I had a problem, what do I wear them with? So I ordered a bunch of tunics as I learned that the rule with leggings is that they are not pants and thus should not be worn like pants. It's always ideal to keep your backside covered when wearing them.

For my first look my sweater was a little short in the front so I paired it with a long layering tee to get more coverage. The purple peacock purse I bought on my trip to Thailand. The infinity scarf, riding boots and boot socks were all purchased because of the challenge, never worn this style before but love it now!

For my next look I'm once again wearing a black layering tee as the sweater wasn't quite long enough in the front.

The sweater is from Talbots, never shopped there before but I saw it in the window and loved the color and knew I had to have it! Since I'm stepping outside the box trying out new fashion trends, I'm also trying out a new nail polish shade - Zoya - Jana, it's a purplish grey, totally out of the norm for me.

Target finds and the White Blazer

I don't get out to the movies much, I pretty much catch everything on netflix. But when my friend H invites me out to the movies, it's always her pick and it always ends up being a great choice. We saw the movie About Time  which is a British romantic comedy about a family of time travelers. You must see it!

In one scene a woman was wearing a white blazer that I just looked brilliant! So I just bought my first white blazer which is a wardrobe piece I've been wanting for awhile for work but never thought it could be worn at night too. But after googling celebs in white blazers to get an idea on how to style it I saw it's quite a popular look! It can be paired with jeans, black leggings, or a nice dress. Then I checked out Target and saw that they have some really nice pieces perfect for holiday parties coming up!

Can you tell I'm a KimK fan? lol

Crisp Air, don't care

Let's talk Fall Fashion: Cords & Boots. It’s a good idea to wear your corduroy pants on the same schedule as you do your velvet clothing. I always gravitate towards rich jewel tones for fall, especially olive green. I bought some gorgeous berry and olive colored corduroy pants from the LOFT, they came in practically every color and is a very flattering cut!

Target beach towels

Target has beach towels and aren't they cute?! Plus they're all under $15! I will be spending a lot of time by my pool this summer, can't wait for summer! Are you ready for swimsuit season?!
