Smile at Five Strangers

I saw this challenge on the Random Acts of Kindness website. From time to time I'll post some challenge ideas that I will be participating in as well. Today's challenge is to smile at 5 strangers, could be in the hallway at work, at the mall, the grocery store, wherever your day takes you!

I visited North Carolina a year ago and was surprised how everyone says hi to everyone! Perfect strangers saying hi to someone else in a mall parking lot. Definitely doesn't happen where I live! lol

I know when people smile at me I always think it's a nice gesture and brings a little joy to my day. So give it a try because you never know what kind of day someone is having and your smile could lift their spirits up a bit.

Vision Board 2013

Just created my new vision board for this year. I have some fitness goals, vacation goals (because I didn't take one last year), and some fun stuff! I just found out about the Day of the Dead Festival last year, it's a Mexican holiday where people celebrate their deceased loved ones. It's celebrated here as well and I even found out that a friend collects Day of the Dead figurines.  Guess I'm last to know about this! lol Sugar sculls and marigolds are the traditional symbols of the holiday, so women paint their faces like skeletons but in a fun way and put flowers in their hair. I thought it would be fun to try something new and different for Halloween this year since the date coincides with the Catholic holidays All Saints Day and All Souls Day on Nov 1 & 2. In case you didn't know Halloween is my favorite holiday, I go all out!

Those are my new Nike LunarGlide4 shoes in the picture. It's a great shoe if you need stability. I love the pop of purple color!

I have an obsession with orange

I'm probably one of the few people that loves to wear orange clothes! My high school prom dress was orange. I even painted my living room orange, complete with an orange area rug. This is one of my favorite orange shades from Zoya called Penny. It's described as "a shiny metallic copper with orange undertones and softy frosty gold shimmer." Next to it is my favorite orange lipstick combo. That reminds me back in middle school I used to wear revlon nail polish and they had an identical shade to this that was a staple to me, I went through many bottles and I remember how upset I was when they discontinued the color. If you look closely you'll even see that my avatar in the header of my blog is wearing this lipstick as well! lol

Vision Board

Have you set goals for yourself? This was my vision board last year and I achieved all of my goals except finishing my cookbook.

Sports Bra Makeover

These are the three workout bras I have and swear by. They're a little pricey but I have no bounce with the two on the right, so need to double up on your bras. With lululemon they keep the same style but change the colors available every 2 months. All of these have cups inside, not for padding, but to avoid headlights and are made of moisture wicking fabric.

From left to right:

Flow Y Bra IV |  lululemon medium support for C cup, thin straps are great for those cute workout tops

Va Va Sport Bra | Athleta high support for C cups

Ta Ta Tamer III | lululemon high support for C cups

I've you're larger than a C, I've heard rave reviews about Enell sports bras.
