Benefits of a Wireless Bra

After what seems like a lifetime of wearing underwire bras, I've started wearing wireless bras. One of my style resolutions this year was to buy better lingerie. I've been a loyal Victoria Secret consumer since high school, only wore one bra model, but hadn't bought a new one in a few years like you're supposed to so I thought it time to invest in some new bras. I read that wireless bras don't show any bulges on your back because the fabric lays flat which is what prompted me to try them. So I'm branching out and trying new brands as all I've ever known is VS, in fact, I was at a loss for where to even search for replacements. lol

I've had countless bras were the wire would eventually poke through I would constantly have to push it back down. lol Back in middle school, I read an article that said that Marilyn Monroe wore her bra to bed to stay perky. So since then I have always worn a bra 24/7. I sleep in it, and don't feel it, it's like a pair of socks to me. It would feel weird to not wear one. I read that most women are wearing the wrong size bra and that's why they feel uncomfortable to you.

Anyway, I was curious how would a wireless bra hold up? There have been lots of developments where brands are using molded foam to replace an underwire and have the same support as one with a wire. The verdict for me is these bras are amazing! They give me lift and full support. I know every woman likes and wears a different type of bra and panties. I had this discussion with some girlfriends recently and found it interesting how different our tastes are. One friend only wears thongs. Another friend only wears white/black/nude bras and panties, not me I've always been about color. Then I saw a few bloggers write about Hanky Panky thongs as the only thing they wear, so I bought a pair and let me tell you one size does not fit all.  Here are my favorite three wireless bra models, also check my out my favorite sports bra post.

While we're talking about undergarments, recently I felt like my camis were too short as I have a long torso. I bought this shaping tank from Yummie by Heather Thompson and it's the best invention ever! It sucks everything in and gives you a little shaping under your tops. And from Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale I stocked up on my favorite panties - Natori Bliss Briefs.

  3. I'm definitely on the busty side so I've always worn bras with a wire, but I've heard they are not good for you in the long run. It might be time to branch out and try some of these other options!

  6. I've never tried a wireless because I have huge boobs and a tiny ribcage so I always have a really unusual size. But I love the look of them and I'd love one day to be able to give them a try. They look so much more comfy!
